Meet the founder

The experience behind Tenaxity, in brief.

David Karunaratne

David founded Tenaxity in 2025 to help small and mid-sized businesses replace manual, fragmented workflows with automation that is reliable, documented and easy to run.

Before Tenaxity, he was a Technology Consultant at Accenture from 2022 to 2026, working across programme management, digital marketing and business analysis for some of the world's largest technology platforms. Before that, he spent nearly five years at Apple looking after small business accounts and their digital transformation projects.

In 2017 he also founded Rank Me Higher, an SEO, PPC and GEO agency, so he knows what it is like to run a small team where every hour counts.

What David did at Accenture

Accenture is a global professional services firm. David's projects were with global technology clients, which we describe by type rather than by name.

Digital marketing lead

Cross-product SEO strategy, project management and email campaign optimisation for a global search and advertising platform. He built frameworks to grow organic search traffic and make campaign processes more efficient.

Programme management lead

Managed digital development projects and client relationships, onboarded new marketing programmes, and supported advertising sales teams with scaled email, paid media and new business acquisition.

Business analysis and change

Analysed and redesigned business processes to drive feature use for a global video-sharing platform, and designed a cookie compliance framework for a global telecoms company, turning business requirements into technical specifications.

How that shapes a Tenaxity project

Consulting habits, sized for a small team: understand the work first, write it down, build carefully and make sure it lasts.

1

Discover

We map the current process and the people in it before anything is built, starting with a free workflow audit.

2

Specify

Requirements are written down as a clear scope with a fixed price, so you know what you are getting.

3

Build

We build on the tools you already use, with human approval wherever judgement matters.

4

Hand over

Every build is documented and monitored, so the change sticks after launch.

Before Accenture

A career that started on the shop floor and in operations, which is why Tenaxity builds for the people who do the work.

Apple, 2017 to 2022

Account Manager, then Senior Account Manager in London, looking after a portfolio of small businesses and start-ups and driving adoption of Apple services and hardware for digital transformation projects. He also worked on partnership programmes with key brands for Apple's online retail and supported pan-EMEA initiatives.

Rank Me Higher, since 2017

David founded Rank Me Higher to run organic search and paid media campaigns for small and mid-sized businesses. Tenaxity built the agency's internal operating system; the Rank Me Higher case study shows how.

US operations, 2008 to 2014

David began his career in New Jersey and New York, in retail and operations leadership at RadioShack and Verizon, then as General Manager of a 60-person operation at JFK Airport with full P&L accountability and a $4M annual expense budget.
