AI automation pricing

Fixed prices for builds, clear monthly fees for the rest

Tenaxity's AI automation agency pricing has three parts: fixed-price builds, monthly care plans that keep your workflows running, and build retainers for teams that want new automation every month. Every price is shown in GBP, USD and EUR, excluding VAT.

One-off builds

Our AI automation agency pricing starts with the build. You get a fixed price, quoted after the free audit, and pay 50% to start and 50% at go-live. The prices below are starting points. Prices exclude VAT.

Care plans

Apps change and APIs get updated, so workflows need looking after. A care plan is optional after any build. Plans run month to month with 30 days' notice. AI voice agents need at least Care, because they speak to your customers; Care Plus is recommended for busy lines.

Build retainers

For teams that want new workflows every month rather than one project at a time. Retainers have a 3-month minimum, then run monthly. The discovery workshop and platform set-up are included; without a retainer they are charged as part of your first build.

What drives AI automation cost

Where a build sits above its starting price comes down to how much work it takes. These are the factors we look at in the audit.

Number of workflows

Each workflow has its own trigger, logic and outputs. One inbox triage flow is a smaller job than inbox triage, CRM updates and reporting together.

Systems and APIs

Every extra tool adds a connection to build, test and maintain. Tools with clear APIs are quicker to work with than ones that need workarounds.

Volume

A workflow that runs ten times a day needs less error handling and fewer limits than one that runs thousands of times. Volume also affects third-party usage costs.

Approval steps

Human review points, such as checking a reply before it is sent, need their own design: who approves, where, and what happens if nobody does.

Monitoring and reporting

Basic alerts are simpler than dashboards and monthly reports. The more visibility you want, the more there is to set up.

Messy inputs

Clean, structured data is quick to automate. Free-text emails, scanned documents and inconsistent spreadsheets need more AI handling and more testing.

What is not included

Some costs sit outside our prices because they depend on your volume and the tools you choose. These stay on your own accounts.

Typically paid directly by you

  • n8n hosting, whether n8n Cloud or your own server
  • LLM API usage, for example OpenAI or Anthropic models
  • Voice and telephony minutes, for AI voice agents
  • Software subscriptions your workflows use, such as your CRM, helpdesk or email platform

Why we keep them separate

Usage costs rise and fall with how much the workflows run, so a fixed price cannot include them fairly. Keeping the accounts with you also means you can see exactly what each tool costs. We estimate these costs during the audit, so the full figure is clear before any work starts.

How to estimate your return

A hypothetical example to show the arithmetic, not a client result. Swap in your own numbers.

The time saved

Say a workflow saves your team 30 hours a month. At an assumed loaded hourly cost of £25 (pay plus employer costs), that is 30 x £25 = £750 a month of time.

The cost

Compare that with a Starter automation from £750, plus Care at £195 a month. The monthly benefit after Care is £750 - £195 = £555.

The payback

£750 divided by £555 is 1.4, so the build pays for itself in under 2 months. After that, the £555 a month is net time saved. Subtract any third-party costs to get your own figure.

From free audit to fixed price

Pricing starts with a conversation about your work, not a guess from a rate card.

1

Book

Book a free audit. We ask about your team, your tools and the work that eats the most time.

2

Map

We map one or two workflows end to end: triggers, systems, approvals and where things go wrong.

3

Quote

You get a written, fixed-price quote covering what will be built, which systems it touches and the expected third-party costs.

4

Build

Once you agree and pay the first 50%, we build, test and go live, then add a care plan if you want one.

FAQs

Short answers about AI automation agency pricing, care plans, retainers and payment. If you are weighing up AI consultant cost, the AI roadmap above is our fixed-price consulting option.

How much does AI automation cost with Tenaxity?

One-off builds start from £750 / $950 / €875 for a Starter automation and go up to from £6,000 / $7,500 / €7,000 for a multi-system project. Care plans are £195 / $250 / €225 or £495 / $625 / €575 a month, and build retainers are £1,250 / $1,600 / €1,450 or £2,750 / $3,500 / €3,200 a month. You get a fixed price after the free audit. Prices exclude VAT.

What is included in a care plan?

Care covers monitoring and alerts, fixes when an API or app changes, up to 2 hours of tweaks a month and a response within 2 business days, for up to 5 workflows. Care Plus adds up to 6 hours of improvements a month, a monthly report or dashboard and a next business day response, for up to 15 workflows.

Do I need a care plan?

Care plans are optional after most builds. Without one, the build is yours to run and we can fix issues as separate work. AI voice agents need at least Care, because they speak to your customers; Care Plus is recommended for busy lines. Build retainers already include a care plan: Care on Growth and Care Plus on Scale.

What is the difference between a build and a retainer?

A one-off build is a fixed-price project for a defined piece of work. A build retainer is a monthly fee that pays for a set number of build hours each month, so you get new workflows on a regular rhythm, with a care plan (Care on Growth, Care Plus on Scale), the discovery workshop and platform set-up included.

How do payments work?

For one-off builds you pay 50% to start and 50% at go-live. Care plans and build retainers are billed monthly. The AI roadmap fee is credited against your first build if you book it within 60 days.

Is there a minimum term?

Build retainers have a 3-month minimum, then run month to month. Care plans are month to month with 30 days' notice. One-off builds have no ongoing term.

Do you price in US dollars or euros?

Yes. Every price is shown in pounds, US dollars and euros. Dollar and euro prices are set for those markets rather than converted at the day's exchange rate.

What costs are not included?

n8n hosting, LLM API usage, voice and telephony minutes and your own software subscriptions are not included. These stay on your accounts and you typically pay the provider directly. We estimate them with you during the audit.
