n8n Automation Agency

Build the workflow layer your tools are missing

Tenaxity provides n8n automation services for growing teams in the UK and US: we turn scattered actions across email, CRM, sheets, forms, support and reporting into monitored n8n workflows, with AI where it helps and human approval where it matters.

Why work with an n8n agency for important workflows

An n8n agency earns its place when a process is too important to leave as a loose chain of zaps. n8n is a strong fit when a workflow needs branching logic, API calls, AI classification, approval steps, failure alerts and a named owner. As an n8n automation agency, Tenaxity designs, builds, documents and monitors those workflows so they keep running after launch. The value is not just automation. It is repeatability.

A build process designed for reliability

The difference between a useful workflow and a liability is not the tool. It is the design around edge cases, approval, monitoring, documentation, and ownership.

1

Map

Trigger, inputs, outputs, owners, approval points, and success metric.

2

Build

Clean n8n paths with reusable logic and named handoffs.

3

Test

Malformed inputs, API failures, edge cases, and review scenarios.

4

Monitor

Logs, retries, alerts, fallback tasks, and exception reporting.

5

Improve

Review usage, remove friction, and expand after value is proven.

01

Define what the workflow is allowed to do

We separate deterministic steps, AI-assisted steps, and human approval points before anything goes live. Pricing, refunds, client-facing replies and unclear cases stay with a person.

02

Make failure visible

Retries, exception alerts, fallback tasks, and owner notifications stop automations from quietly breaking.

03

Document the handoff

Your team should know what triggered the workflow, what changed, and what needs human review.

Before

Work is held together manually

  • Leads copied between forms, spreadsheets, email, and CRM
  • Reports built by hand every week
  • Follow-ups depend on memory or scattered reminders
  • Errors are discovered only after someone chases
  • No clear owner when an automation fails

After

n8n coordinates the repeatable work

  • Triggers, decisions, and handoffs are visible in one workflow
  • AI summarises, classifies, drafts, and routes where useful
  • Human approval stays around risky or client-facing steps
  • Failures create alerts, logs, and fallback tasks
  • Performance is reviewed and improved after launch

Common n8n automations we build

These are practical workflows that remove operational drag without asking your team to change every tool they use.

Lead intake to CRM

Capture enquiries, enrich company data, score fit, create CRM records, assign owners, and alert the team when a high-value lead arrives. See how this fits into wider AI CRM automation.

Inbox triage and routing

Classify messages, detect urgency, summarise threads, draft internal notes, and route work to Slack, Teams, CRM, or a task board. More on this in AI email automation.

Sales follow-up system

Prepare personalised outreach drafts, monitor replies, create follow-up tasks, update CRM stages, and summarise warm conversations. Our AI sales automation page covers the full pipeline.

Weekly reporting agent

Pull data from CRMs, ad platforms, spreadsheets, or databases, summarise changes, flag anomalies, and send concise updates.

Service business intake

Form enquiry arrives, n8n enriches the company, checks service fit, creates a CRM record, assigns an owner, and sends a Slack alert for high-value leads.

Support triage loop

Customer email is classified, summarised, matched against a knowledge base, routed by urgency, and escalated if sentiment or value crosses a threshold.

Monday reporting agent

CRM, ad, search, and sheet data are pulled into one weekly summary with anomalies, stuck deals, and follow-up actions called out.

Worked example: an n8n lead intake build, node by node

This is a hypothetical example to show how we structure a build. Say a 15-person consultancy receives 25 web enquiries a week and someone spends 8 minutes on each one: reading it, looking up the company, adding it to HubSpot and telling the right person. That is 200 minutes a week.

The workflow

What runs in n8n

  • Webhook trigger: the website form posts each enquiry to n8n.
  • HTTP Request: an enrichment API returns company size and sector.
  • AI step: a language model classifies the enquiry by service and urgency, and writes a two-line summary.
  • IF node: clear matches go straight on; unclear ones go to a review queue.
  • HubSpot node: creates or updates the contact, company and deal, and assigns an owner.
  • Slack node: posts the summary to the owner, with a link to the record.
  • Error workflow: any failure alerts a named person and logs the input so nothing is lost.

The arithmetic

What changes for the team

If the owner now spends 2 minutes checking each summary and record, the weekly time drops from 200 minutes to 50 minutes, a saving of 150 minutes, or 2.5 hours a week.

The bigger gain is usually consistency: every enquiry is logged the same way, nobody has to remember to pass it on, and the logs show what happened to each one.

In a free audit we run the same sums with your real volumes before recommending a build.

n8n agency, n8n developer or n8n consultant?

The right choice depends on how many workflows you need, who will own them, and how much risk sits in each one.

Single build

Freelance n8n developer

A good fit for one clearly specified workflow when someone in your team can own and maintain it afterwards.

Advice

n8n consultant

Useful when you have builders in-house and want an n8n expert to review architecture, hosting, security or an existing instance.

Design, build and support

Specialist agency

Best when several workflows touch revenue or clients, and you want mapping, AI steps, testing, monitoring and documentation handled together.

Estimate the workflow opportunity

Use this as a rough planning tool. The real audit checks complexity, integrations, risk, and whether automation is actually sensible.

Formula: weekly hours x hourly cost x 4.33 x coverage. This helps prioritise what to map first.

Systems n8n can connect

Most projects start by connecting the tools you already use. Replacement is only worth discussing when a platform is blocking the workflow.

n8n case study: an operating system for Rank Me Higher

For Rank Me Higher, an SEO, PPC and GEO agency serving the UK, US and Australia, we built an agency operating system and the automations around it, so audits, reports and research stop being rebuilt by hand for every client.

Agency operating system

RMH-OS

Technical SEO audits, issue scoring, PageSpeed checks and a modular report builder. It pulls Search Console, GA4, Google Ads and Business Profile data, adds AI-written executive summaries and produces white-label PDF reports.

Built in n8n

Keyword research workflows

n8n workflows pull Search Console data and Google Ads Keyword Planner volumes together, so research starts from what a site already ranks for and how often each term is searched.

Estimated, not measured

About 21 hours saved per client each month

Reports, audits, competitor reports and content plans now assemble themselves; staff spend their time on review and recommendations. A Google Calendar booking system replaced the third-party scheduler.

Questions to ask an n8n agency

Short, practical answers for teams weighing n8n against simpler automation tools, a freelancer or custom development.

Why use n8n instead of Zapier or Make?

n8n is often better when workflows need complex branching, custom API calls, reusable logic, self-hosting options, or AI steps that need logging and control.

Can you work with our existing n8n instance?

Yes. We can review, clean up, document, extend, and monitor existing workflows, including workflows built by internal teams or previous suppliers.

Do n8n workflows need AI?

No. Some workflows should stay deterministic. AI is useful for classification, summarisation, extraction, drafting, scoring, and routing when the output can be reviewed or bounded.

How do you stop automations from breaking silently?

We build with logs, retries, alerts, fallback tasks, named workflow paths, and defined owners so issues are visible rather than hidden.

Should we hire an n8n developer or an n8n agency?

A freelancer suits one well-defined workflow that your team will maintain. An n8n agency suits several connected workflows where you want design, AI steps, testing, monitoring and documentation covered together.

Do you offer n8n consulting without a full build?

Yes. We can act as an n8n consultant to review an existing instance, advise on structure and hosting, or scope workflows your own team will build.

Self-hosted n8n or n8n Cloud?

n8n Cloud is quicker to start and n8n runs the infrastructure. Self-hosting gives more control over data location and setup, but someone has to maintain the server, updates and backups. We help you choose based on your data, budget and team.

Who owns the workflows once they are built?

You do. We build in your n8n account or instance, with your credentials, and hand over documentation so your team can see and change what each workflow does.
